About Me
I am primarily a digital artist by default after no longer being able to work conventionally with my hands. Basically they have both clawed leaving me with one functioning finger on both hands but thankfully also the ability to grasp, as in a 'stylus'. My options to continue my life long LOVE of drawing were further challenged once my wrist stopped rotating in all directions. It was a fateful introduction to Ben (graphic designer extraordinaire & my grand-baby daddy) who introduced me just over year ago to his Wacom pen kickstarting my reconnection to my beloved passion of drawing. Stemming from a life of all that is creative & colour, a self taught artist from the age of 5, disqualified at 10 from first school art competition because judges did not believe I could've drawn to the standard of an adult. As devastating as that experience was I eventually learnt to accept it as an extreme compliment. My life took many turns however, but always based on my artistic/designer skills, including designing & manufacturing clothes. But life can have a warped sense of fairness, as giving me a disease that destroys my hands & with it my life purpose to draw & create. However, the war did not end instead my battle began, giving up has never really been an option for me, I never stopped wanting to create beautiful art, just had to find an alternative means. So this portfolio is my WIN against the odds, finding the right fit for my hands, which is basically a stylus, Adobe Sketch or Draw Apps & my iPad. My goal now is to finally create an income, a legacy, a purpose, a career, but more so to NOT BE DISABLED!!
